1.  Read the account in Numbers 12.  Why did bad things happen to Miriam? Can you think of other examples of sinful consequences in the Bible?  What about in your life?

2.  Read the account in John 9:1-7.  Why did bad things happen to the man born blind? Can you think of other examples of the miraculous in the Bible?  What about in your life?

3.  Read the story of Jesus and the man with leprosy in Mark 1:40-45.   What happened to Jesus as a result of the man’s disobedience? Can you think of an example in your life where you were negatively impacted by another person’s sin?

4.  Read the first chapter of Job.  Why did bad things happen to Job? Can you think of other examples in the Bible where an Satan (or an enemy) gave difficulties to a righteous person?

5.  Read what Paul has to say in 2 Corinthians 12:7-10.   Why did Paul embrace this harassing “thorn” in his flesh? How have you learned to become more Christlike through a difficulty in your life?

6.  Consider the story of Joseph and read what he said in Genesis 50:20. Why did bad things happen to Joseph? How did they position him for his ultimate ministry?
