GroTV #76: Does the Miraculous Still Happen Today?
Questions for further study:
1. Read today’s key story in 2 Kings 4:1-7. Why did the woman in this story need a miracle? What was her attitude and actions that made this miracle possible? What caused the miracles to cease?
2. How does Paul in 2 Corinthians 4:7 connect the metaphor of clay vessels to our condition as Christians?
3. Examine Mark 16:17-18 and John 14:11-12. What miracles does Jesus mention that will accompany those who believe? Have you ever experienced a divine miracle from God that cannot be explained?
4. Some people say that 1 Corinthians 13:8-13 talks about miraculous gifts ceasing after the death of the apostles. Examine the context of this chapter. Is the passage talking about our current age or sometime in the future when we will see Christ “face to face”?
5. Read Ephesians 1:5, Romans 8:15 and Galatians 4:7. What do these verses have to say about the kind of relationship we are allowed to enjoy with God? How does this extend to our privilege of tasting and experiencing His power working through us?
